The Chagrin Falls Historical Society & Museum presents “Through Their Voices: Veterans of Chagrin Valley & Beyond”. This Speaker Series will explore the stories of our veterans in their own words. The museum will host a program each month with local veterans from various wars and conflicts. The series is sponsored by American Legion Post 383 and VFW Post 12067.
The Opening Reception for the Speaker Series will be on Monday, June 10th at 6:30pm with light refreshments and a showing the documentary- One Mission: Chagrin Falls. This documentary was part of the 2010 Chagrin Documentary Film Fest, it was produced by local veteran, Todd D. Lyle. The film presents interviews with former soldiers, sailors, aviators, and nurses from Chagrin Falls who tell about their service to America. The stories were filmed in Chagrin Falls on Memorial Day weekend in 2010.
The first program is on Tuesday, June 18th at 6:30pm. Join us as we welcome two World War II veterans– Aaron Fox and John Jouriles. Come to hear their stories and ask questions! Light refreshments will be served.
In conjunction with the Veterans Speaker Series, stop by the museum to see our new exhibit- Through Their Eyes: Chagrin Valley Veterans. This exhibit will be on display May 23 through November 11, 2019. This exhibit and speaker series are sponsored by American Legion Post 383 and VFW Post 12067.
