Ruth has been the Executive Director of the Chagrin History Center since August 2018. Born and raised on the west side of Cleveland, Ruth made the most east and now lives in Geauga County. She has a BA in History from Hiram College and a MA in History with specialization in Museum Studies from Cleveland State University. Ruth has worked at the Children’s Museum of Cleveland, American Cancer Society in both the Cleveland and Akron offices, and at the Shaker Historical Society & Museum. Prior to working for non-profits, Ruth worked in politics in Washington, D.C.; Louisville, KY; and Columbus, OH. Her favorite job ever was a Park Ranger for a summer at Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial in Put-in-Bay. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys running, reading, binging Netflix, spending time with her nieces and nephews.
