The military collection consists of military artifacts dating from the Civil War through the Vietnam War including canteens, flags, medals, basic training books, uniforms, guns and souvenirs collected by soldiers.

The records of the Chagrin Falls Grand Army of the Republic post includes minutes and personal histories of over 200 Civil War veterans compiled by A.E. Smith, in addition to the records of the Soldiers Aid Society. Minutes of the GAR women’s affiliate, the Women’s Relief Corps, are also in the collection.

World War I is represented by Liberty Bond posters and letters from soldiers to their families. We have ration stamps and tokens from World War II along with soldiers’ letters and diaries, and photos of many of the service men and women from Chagrin Falls. A memoir of the Korean War unit from Chagrin Falls and a military uniform and accessories from the Vietnam War round out the collection.
